About the Indies and Fort Morgan

The Indies is located at the western tip of the Fort Morgan Peninsula. We are approximately 20 miles down Hwy 180. It is a quiet paradise at this end of the Island.

Historic Fort Morgan and the Ferry The Historic Fort is within walking distance from the Indies. It is a really neat place to visit on the tip of the peninsula. There is a museum, bunkers to explore, and a historic wall that wraps the peninsula on which you can enjoy a long walk with breathtaking views of the Gulf. (*one of the locals favorite activities*) If you make it to the tip of the peninsula, you might find an fisherman casting a line from a comfortable old chair. There is nothing like watching a Sunrise or Sunset on the tip. Trust me, I have done it! For a moment, you will forget about all the hustle and bustle of the world.
